Funding & Educational Leave - How it works

Can I get funding for my education?

There are various funding opportunities available for education at Flexyfit Sports Academy. Regional and EU funding as well as tax-related options form the basis for this.

However, we would like to point out that the decision on the allocation or amount of funding is solely the responsibility of the respective funding agency.

We are happy to assist in finding a suitable funding agency and provide all the course information you need for a funding application. You will need to submit the application itself to the funding agencies.

You can find an overview of the most important funding agencies here.

How does the funding process work?

Depending on the funding institute, the training costs will either be directly covered after the funding application has been approved (e.g. AMS), or they will be fully or partially reimbursed to you after successful completion of the training (e.g. waff). Please inquire with the funding institutes about how the financing works.

Can I take educational leave for my education?

Yes, the majority of our courses are suitable for educational leave.

If you want to further your education without quitting your job, you can arrange educational leave with your employer. This means you will be granted leave from work for the duration of the further education.

Plan your educational leave with us now! In a personal, non-binding consultation , we will be happy to discuss your individual training needs with you.

How does educational leave work?

You can consume your educational leave for a maximum of 1 year within 4 years - there are 3 options:

  • Educational leave for 12 months
  • Educational leave divided, but each part must last at least 2 months. The parts must be consumed within 4 years.
  • Educational leave with part-time education spread over 2 years

It is important that your employer agrees to educational leave. You need to provide the educational plans issued by us for a total of 20 hours per week for full-time educational leave, or at least 10 hours for part-time educational leave.

You must regularly provide evidence of your progress in the education. For example, through exams or attendance confirmation issued by us.

Career afterwards - what can happen after the training

What do aerobic trainers do?

Aerobic trainers / Group Fitness Instructors lead group classes, such as "Fatburning", "Abs, Legs, and Glutes" and "Bodywork", in a professional, safe, and responsible manner.

They ensure that the posture and technique of the clients are correct and provide cues, instructions on the steps of the exercises, using hands, arms, or voice.

The planning of the class schedule is also part of the tasks of a Group Fitness Instructor, where a choreography for the class is developed using appropriate music.

How does Flexyfit help me with job search?

On our platform Sportkarriere, we regularly list job advertisements from fitness studios. There, you can directly apply for jobs as a fitness trainer, branch manager, instructor, or studio employee.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the designation "Diplom-Aerobictrainer" and "Aerobictrainer A-Lizenz"?

In fact, the content and qualifications between a "Diplom-Aerobictrainer" and an "Aerobictrainer A-Lizenz" are essentially the same. The difference lies only in the designation, which is used differently depending on the country.

In Germany, the term "Aerobictrainer A-Lizenz" is often used because the term "Diplom" is protected and has specific legal requirements. This A-Lizenz certifies that the holder has acquired the necessary training content and qualifications to safely and effectively lead group fitness classes.

In Austria, on the other hand, the term "Dipl. Aerobictrainer" is common, as it is a free term and there are no legal restrictions regarding the use of the term "Diplom". Here too, the training includes the same content and qualifications as the A-Lizenz in Germany.

In both cases, our graduates receive a recognized qualification that enables them to professionally lead aerobic classes and guide their participants safely and effectively.

What will be credited to me if I have already completed a training?

If you have already completed a training with us and decide to take another course, the module "Sportkompetenz" will be credited to you.
In the case of studying at a university, individual subjects can occasionally be credited. For example, in a medical education, experiences can often be used to recognize subjects such as anatomy and physiology. If your training comes from another adult education provider (such as Online Trainer Lizenz, Vitalakademie, etc.), an individual evaluation is required to determine if credits are possible.

Is installment payment possible?

We want to make it easier for you to invest in your future, which is why we offer the convenient option of installment payment. The training to become an aerobic trainer can be easily paid in monthly installments without any down payment or additional interest.
If you are interested in an individual payment plan, do not hesitate to contact our Flexyfit team directly. We are happy to assist you and find a solution that best suits your needs. Invest in your future and start your journey to becoming a fitness trainer today!

When do I have to pay for my booked course?

After your booking, you will have full access to your academy account and learning materials. You can withdraw at any time within 14 days without giving any reasons. This will not incur any costs for you! The (first) invoice will be sent to you by email approximately 3 weeks after registration.

Posture, technique, dynamics
Correct posture and technique are the cornerstones of aerobics.

The basic posture describes the position of the feet, alignment of the knees and hips and the position of the spine, neck and head. As every change in posture entails further changes in other joints, it is important for aerobics instructors to be familiar with the basic principles of posture and various movement patterns. For this reason, essential positions and the most important coaching points of posture are discussed.

The correct technique describes the correct and precise execution of individual movements and protects us from injuries, overloading and imbalances. Some important basic principles of methodology enable optimal learning of movements. This methodical structure will be discussed in the course of the lecture, as well as common mistakes and corrective measures.

Teaching rehearsals - Teaching performances
This is your moment! You are ready, focused, and motivated, and you introduce yourself to "our" group. You lead your first aerobics class and put into practice everything you have learned so far. Starting with warm-up, followed by a small choreography and a strength training phase (with small equipment) in the main part, and ending with cool down and stretching, the group is all yours. Before that, you choose the theme of the session yourself and find the appropriate music and exercises. After the previous sessions, this is no longer an obstacle. The applause from the group and the satisfaction after your first self-led session are guaranteed.
As the group gets to know each other during the training, there is no need to be nervous. Leading the friendly group for the first time takes some pressure off you for the future. After that, our expert will provide constructive feedback to prepare you for the future as an aerobics instructor.

Music theory and the use of music
Aerobics without the right music is just a gym class. So: the be-all and end-all in aerobics / group fitness is the right music. Whether chart hits, Latin music or pan flute sounds - music is the trump card. In this seminar, you will learn everything about the correct use of music, counting in, the Big One and the 32-count music arc. These lessons are the most exciting, you will be thrilled.

Sports psychology Motivation (successful teaching)
When motivating a customer, it is particularly important to motivate them and help them achieve their goals.
However, goals can be divided into different types and must meet certain requirements in order to be achieved.

In fact, there can be dangers associated with setting "wrong" goals. These will be explained to the course participants in this unit, along with how to set goals for customers.

Another aspect of motivation is learning. Here too, there are different types of learning and ways to achieve maximum learning success.
The course participants will be provided with important aspects of learning.
Topics such as fear, stress, and self-confidence will also be discussed, as these also affect the motivation of a customer. Various formulas and types of stress will be presented, as well as coping methods and types of fear, including the fear spiral.

After this unit, the course participants will be able to professionally respond to the needs, desires, and goals of customers and know how to skillfully motivate them to achieve these.

Lesson structure (didactics and pedagogy)
An effective Group Fitness session must be well thought out and structured. Therefore, there are some important basic principles to consider when planning. In the course of the subject our participants learn the structure in coarse and fine structure. The individual phases warm-up, cardo phase, workout phase, cool down as well as stretching and relaxation are examined in more detail. Also, the right choice of music, different ways of structuring the individual phases as well as the goals and content of those will be addressed. At the end of the units, you will be able to plan your own classes and lead exciting, varied and effective group fitness sessions.

Technique training
In this practical block, the content of the subject "Posture, technique and dynamics" already discussed in theory is dealt with in detail. The basics are put into practice and practiced. Frequently occurring weaknesses and mistakes will be addressed and the correction of these will be practiced. We also practise how techniques can be optimally taught as a trainer. The ultimate goal is to be able to instruct technically correct, injury-free training for clients. This includes acoustic coaching points as well as tactile assistance.

Because all of this happens during aerobic training with and during musical accompaniment. The trick is to combine posture and technique training with the use of music.
