Correct carboloading before the competition

The reciprocal relationship between nutrition and training is increasingly becoming the focus of sport. This not only applies to competitive sport. Amateur and recreational athletes are also trying to improve their performance with suitable measures.
In this workshop, we would like to introduce you to one measure in more detail - carboloading. By this we mean the scheduled recharging of glycogen stores before competitions.
There are many different methods, but the aim is always the same: the athlete should increase their energy stores in a targeted manner and learn to use them more efficiently during competition.
- What are the contents of the carboloading workshop?
First of all, we look at the amount of energy needed and the metabolic rate. Building on this, we take a closer look at the right ratio of carbohydrates, proteins and fats.
The selection of the right carbohydrates and meal frequency play an essential role here. The use of sports products such as gels, energy bars or drinks then comes increasingly into focus.
Various carb-loading plans are created and analyzed together. The most common mistakes in pre-competition nutrition are discussed and improvements are identified. Last but not least, sports products on the market will be examined more closely.

Our carboloading workshop is primarily aimed at ambitious endurance and strength athletes who want to use advanced, nutrition-specific measures to optimize performance .
For established fitness, personal, nutrition, running and swimming trainers, the workshop offers a good opportunity to further expand their own repertoire of activities.
